Softball Recap: Montville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Wheeler on Saturday, Montville came back down to earth. The Wolves came up short against the Ledyard Colonels on Monday, falling 7-0. The Wolves have struggled against the Colonels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Montville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jainna Lesniewski, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Montville's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Ledyard, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Looking ahead, Montville will take on Old Lyme at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ledyard, they will challenge Lyman Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
