Baseball Game Preview: North Mac Panthers vs. Pana Panthers

North Mac are taking a road trip to square off against Pana at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games North Mac has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, North Mac had just enough and edged out Litchfield 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted against the Purple Panthers since April 26, 2018.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Pana was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell 4-0 to Staunton. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

North Mac is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Pana, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

North Mac came out on top in a nail-biter against Pana in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, sneaking past 3-1. Does North Mac have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pana turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
