Cape Fear Christian Academy won the last time they faced Lee Christian, and Caden Scarborough did his part to make sure it happened again. The Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles escaped with a win on Saturday against the Lee Christian Falcons by the margin of a single free throw, 64-63 thanks to Scarborough, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc to rack up 30 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Lathan Wilborn, who posted seven points and three blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played.

Defeat or not, Lee Christian got some senior leadership from Justin Brown and Daniel Rumbold. Brown dropped a double-double with 25 points and 13 boards, while Rumbold went 6-for-10 on his way to 23 points. Brown has become a key player for Lee Christian: the team is 15-4 when he posts at least 15 points, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Railo, who earned six points and five assists.

Cape Fear Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Lee Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.

Cape Fear Christian Academy has already played their next match, an 83-40 defeat against Victory Christian Center on the 18th. Lee Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
