Football Recap: Nettleton Takes a Loss

Nettleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Noxubee County, falling 46-13. While losing is never fun, Nettleton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Noxubee County is ranked 36th).

Nettleton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Noxubee County, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Nettleton will take on rival Winona at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Noxubee County is set to face off against their familiar foe Aberdeen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
