Volleyball Recap: Hiawatha Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Hiawatha hadn't done well against Royal Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Red Hawks walked away with a 2-0 win over the Panthers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win on Tuesday.

Kylie Nelson paced Hiawatha's offense, picking up eight kills. Nelson got some help from Adison Williams and her 25 assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Hiawatha pushed their record up to 13-18 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Royal Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-18-1.

Looking ahead, Hiawatha will be taking part in a tournament against Jackson Heights at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Royal Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
