Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Dora

After losing to Gateway Christian the last time they met, Dora decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Dora Coyotes secured a 57-53 W over the Gateway Christian Warriors on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Gateway Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zack McCracken, who posted 14 points. Grady Munson was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Dora's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points over those games. As for Gateway Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

Coming up, Dora will host Melrose at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dora has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Gateway Christian, they have already played their next match, a 62-47 win against Dexter on the 8th.
