Basketball Recap: Isabella Comes Up Short

Isabella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Greene County Tigers and fell 71-13. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greene County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Janyria Hutton, who posted eight points in addition to ten assists and six steals. Hutton has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more assists the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was R'Kajah Nickson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Isabella's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Greene County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-8.

Isabella has already played their next contest (against Maplesville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Greene County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-19 win against Greensboro on the 29th.
