Basketball Recap: Cairo Comes Up Short

Cairo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 77-54 to the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats. The Pilots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Cairo's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Anna-Jonesboro, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.

Looking ahead, Cairo is taking a road trip to challenge Lovejoy at 5:05 p.m. on Friday. As for Anna-Jonesboro, they will host DuQuoin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Anna-Jonesboro is facing DuQuoin at the right time seeing as DuQuoin is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
