The Lawrence County Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 99-87 win over Floyd Central. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Floyd Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Braden Moore, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Moore has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Spriggs, who scored 21 points along with five assists.
Lawrence County's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Floyd Central, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
Lawrence County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 78-51 victory vs. East Ridge on the 10th. Floyd Central has also already played their next matchup, a 83-78 victory against Breathitt County on the 10th.
