Softball Recap: Lincoln Park Takes a Loss

Lincoln Park and Saint Ignatius College Prep squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Lincoln Park had to settle for second. They lost 13-3 to the Wolfpack. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Wolfpack: they've now lost five in a row.

Natalie Alvarez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Lincoln Park's loss dropped their record down to 8-12-1. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-19 record this season.

Lincoln Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they will take on Taft at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolfpack's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
