Volleyball Recap: Wilson Falls Despite Big Games from Allure Steele and Dhara Vaghela

If Wilson was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hannah-Pamplico on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Wilson's loss came despite strong showings from Dhara Vaghela and Allure Steele. Vaghela had 19 digs, while Steele had 11 digs. Vaghela is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Pee Dee Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilson will square off against Darlington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pee Dee Academy, they will challenge Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
