Groves typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Walled Lake Central proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Groves Falcons 6-4. That's two games straight that Walled Lake Central has won by exactly two runs.
Griffin DeVooght was incredible, going 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Levi Shanker was another key contributor, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
The win made it two in a row for Walled Lake Central and bumps their season record up to 17-19. As for Groves, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-8.
