Basketball Recap: Brodhead Takes a Loss

Brodhead suffered their biggest loss since February 9, 2024 on Wednesday. They were dealt a 68-40 defeat at the hands of the Deerfield Demons. The Cardinals lost against the Demons in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 45-42 score last time.

The loss snapped Brodhead's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-7 record. As for Deerfield, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brodhead will challenge Cambridge at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Deerfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Johnson Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Deerfield is facing Johnson Creek at the right time seeing as Johnson Creek is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
