Soccer Game Preview: Charleston vs. Mahomet-Seymour

Charleston is 0-10 against Mahomet-Seymour since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will head out to face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Charleston's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Urbana University.

Ella Hinds and Hadley Webb scored both of Charleston's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Mahomet-Seymour won against Taylorville on Tuesday with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. The Bulldogs came out on top against Mt. Zion by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mahomet-Seymour.

Mahomet-Seymour's victory bumped their record up to 7-4-2. As for Charleston, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.

Charleston might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Mahomet-Seymour when the teams last played back in March. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
