Preview: Vacaville vs. Wood
After two games on the road, Vacaville is heading back home. They will take on Wood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Vacaville stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They didn't even let Rodriguez onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Vacaville has posted since December 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, Wood came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Fairfield by a score of 3-1. Three seems to be a good number for Wood as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Vacaville's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Wood, the win got them back to even at 4-4-1.
Vacaville beat Wood by a goal in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 2-1. Does Vacaville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
