Basketball Game Preview: Omaha North Vikings vs. Papillion-LaVista South Titans

Omaha North is 2-8 against Papillion-LaVista South since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Omaha North Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Papillion-LaVista South Titans at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Omaha North took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-44 win over Omaha Northwest.

Meanwhile, Papillion-LaVista South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-64 heartbreaker at the hands of Omaha Central. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-19 in the first quarter.

Papillion-LaVista South's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Omaha North, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8.

Omaha North ended up a good deal behind Papillion-LaVista South when the teams last played back in January of 2024, losing 69-51. Can Omaha North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
