Baseball Game Preview: Nogales Nobles vs. Schurr Spartans

For the second straight game, Nogales will face off against Schurr. The Nobles will welcome the Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Nogales didn't have quite enough to beat Schurr and fell 2-1. The Nobles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Schurr's part, Joseph Hernandez was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. Hernandez is becoming a predictor of the Spartans' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 7-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Talavera, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

Schurr's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Nogales, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
