Basketball Recap: Devin Mcintyre Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Coral Park

After losing to Coral Park the last time they met, Westwood Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Westwood Christian Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 win over the Coral Park Rams on Monday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westwood Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Devin Mcintyre, who posted 21 points. Jason Martinez was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Westwood Christian pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Coral Park, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.

Westwood Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Coral Park, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Mourning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mourning is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.6 points per game this season.
