Volleyball Recap: Prairie Comes Up Short

After flying high against Weldon Valley on Tuesday, Prairie came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the Merino Rams on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-17.

Tanna Bailey paced Prairie's offense, picking up 14 kills. Bailey got some help from Nicole Ludgate and her 24 assists.

Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Merino, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Kiowa on the 31st. As for Merino, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Akron on the 31st.
