Battle Mountain's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Oasis Academy Bighorns, sneaking past 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Longhorns: when they faced off against the Bighorns on Saturday, they had to take a 11-1 loss.

Jacob Perrone was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Perrone wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Lara, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Battle Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Oasis Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Looking ahead, Battle Mountain will take on Incline at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Incline has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.22 runs per game on average), something Battle Mountain will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Oasis Academy, they will face off against Silver Stage at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Oasis Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: Silver Stage has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
