Basketball Recap: Carter Gasson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fort Loramie over Russia

Fort Loramie lost against Russia back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fort Loramie Redskins took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Russia Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Redskins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Raiders are ranked 21st).

Fort Loramie's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Gasson, who posted nine points. Gasson is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Dj Barhorst was another key player, putting up nine points.

Fort Loramie's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Russia, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Fort Loramie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Russia has already played their next match (against Marion Local), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
