Winston County put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 38-23 victory over the Curry Yellowjackets. The 38-point effort marked Winston County's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winston County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lizzy Bass, who posted nine points and six rebounds. Bass is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Lynleigh Cobb, who had seven points in addition to six boards and six steals.

Winston County pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Curry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winston County will welcome Falkville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Curry, it'll be a Battle of the Bugs the Curry Yellowjackets duke it out with the Corner Yellow Jackets at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
