Baseball Game Preview: Anadarko Warriors vs. Casady Cyclones

For the second straight game, Anadarko will face off against Casady. The Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Cyclones at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Anadarko has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Casady will arrive with three straight wins.

Monday just wasn't the day for Anadarko's offense. They lost 19-0 to Casady on Monday.

For Casady's part, Henry Lewis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Lewis has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Casady: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise.

In other batting news, Jozef Pikula and Kyler Tice did most of the damage at the plate: Pikula scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Tice scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Pikula is becoming a predictor of Casady's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Luke Woodruff, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Casady was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .607. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Anadarko's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Casady, their record now sits at 8-6.
