Softball Game Preview: Loara Saxons vs. Garden Grove Argonauts

The Loara Saxons will head out on the road to face off against the Garden Grove Argonauts at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Garden Grove took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Loara, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Loara beat Estancia 11-7. The Saxons haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Garden Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Fullerton, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 28 runs in the game before, the Argonauts' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Loara's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Garden Grove, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Loara couldn't quite get it done against Garden Grove when the teams last played back in March of 2023 as they fell 10-5. Can the Saxons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
