Football Recap: Trabuco Hills Comes Up Short

Trabuco Hills extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-4. They were beaten by the Tustin Tillers 42-14. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Tillers are ranked 29th).

Despite the loss, Trabuco Hills still got an impressive performance from Tristan Zale, who threw for 217 yards and one touchdown.

As for Tustin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2. Considering they have won three games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Tustin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ayden Edwards out in front who threw for 166 yards and three TDs. Elijah Robinson helped Edwards out on the ground, rushing for 117 yards and one score on only 15 carries.

Trabuco Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 41-7 loss against Capistrano Valley on the 17th. As for Tustin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-7 victory against El Modena on the 17th.
