Volleyball Game Preview: New Mexico Military Institute Colts vs. Hot Springs Tigers + Official Tickets

The New Mexico Military Institute Colts are taking a road trip to take on the Hot Springs Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Thursday, New Mexico Military Institute didn't have quite enough to beat Mesilla Valley Christian School and fell 3-2. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

New Mexico Military Institute started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 8-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-20, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Hot Springs lost 3-0 to Silver on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Fighting Colts recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 25-14.

New Mexico Military Institute's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Hot Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

New Mexico Military Institute couldn't quite get it done against Hot Springs in their previous matchup back in August of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
