Baseball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Valley's offense. They came up short against the West County Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for West County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Coming up, Valley will welcome Crystal City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. West County has already played their next matchup (against Potosi), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
