Baseball Recap: Hart Hawks vs. Castaic Coyotes
Hart extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 10-11-1. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Castaic Coyotes. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Coyotes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Hart got a good showing from Cayden Kollasch, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Kollasch has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Josh Whitson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Thompson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
