Football Recap: Covington's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Covington had won two straight games and Beau Bishop did his part to make it three on Friday. The Trojans claimed a resounding 44-14 win over the North Vermillion Falcons for which the team can thank Bishop, who rushed for 198 yards and three scores while picking up 11.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 44 yards and one touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards.

Covington's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for North Vermillion, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Covington is set to take on their familiar foe Fountain Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Vermillion will challenge rival South Vermillion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
