Basketball Recap: Johnston City Takes a Loss

Johnston City lost against Christopher two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Johnston City Indians took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christopher Bearcats. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Johnston City's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Christopher, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-11.

Johnston City and Christopher could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Johnston City will take on Vienna at 5:00 p.m. on Friday down 334 places (586 vs. 252). Similarly, Christopher (ranked 412th) will meet Goreville (ranked 96th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
