Basketball Game Preview: Stanberry Bulldogs vs. King City Wildkats

Stanberry and King City are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Stanberry Bulldogs will take on the King City Wildkats in a tournament on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Stanberry is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Northeast Nodaway just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Blue Jays by a score of 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since January 3rd.

Meanwhile, King City suffered their biggest loss since November 26, 2024 on Friday. They lost 47-25 to Rock Port.

King City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Stanberry, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Stanberry came up short against King City in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 44-34. Can Stanberry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
