Football Recap: Anthony Sturgis and Jayden James Secure Win for Bryant + How To Watch

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Bryant and Citronelle meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Hurricanes snuck past the Wildcats with an 18-13 victory. This was payback for the Hurricanes, who suffered a 29-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jayden James and Anthony Sturgis. James rushed for 122 yards and one TD while Sturgis rushed for 91 yards and one score.

Bryant was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 216 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Citronelle only rushed for 36.

Bryant's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Citronelle, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bryant will head out to face off against Mary G. Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so the Hurricanes' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Citronelle, they will venture away from home to challenge UMS-Wright Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
