Volleyball Recap: Saguaro Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Saguaro was the 3-1 winner over Cactus Shadows when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sabercats fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Sabercats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Saguaro took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 16-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Cactus Shadows' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mateja Cousins, who had ten digs and four aces. The dominant performance also gave Cousins a new career-high in assists (50). Gabby Procopio was another key player, getting 27 digs and four aces.

Saguaro's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Cactus Shadows, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
