Soccer Recap: Goshen Falls Short Against Ranked Penn

Goshen faced Penn in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The RedHawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kingsmen. Goshen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Penn apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Goshen fell to 6-1. As for Penn, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Goshen will take on Fort Wayne Northrop at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Goshen's defense better be ready for this one: Fort Wayne Northrop have averaged an impressive 3.9 goals per game this season. As for Penn, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Chesterton at 10:00 a.m. Chesterton's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Penn's offense will have their work cut out for them.
