Preview: Malden Golden Tornados vs. Revere Patriots
Malden is 0-10 against Revere since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Malden Golden Tornados will be playing in front of their home fans against the Revere Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Malden narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Somerville 41-39. 41 seems to be a good number for Malden as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Revere posted their biggest victory since December 27, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Chelsea 61-23 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-11.
Revere's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Belma Velic, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rocio Gonzalez, who scored six points along with three steals.
Malden now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Revere, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.
