Baseball Recap: Drury Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Drury got themselves on the board against Lenox Memorial on Monday, but Lenox Memorial never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Millionaires. The Blue Devils have beaten the Millionaires the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Millionaires has come to flipping the script.

Connor Hinkell made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Hinkell was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Drury got a big performance out of JJ Prenguber, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Brayden Durant was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.

Drury always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Drury pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.3 runs this season. As for Lenox Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
