Mitchell waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Sickles Gryphons a 10-0 shutout. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Taylor Tucker was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Sophia Cohen was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Mitchell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sickles only posted an OBP of .118.

Mitchell's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Sickles, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Mitchell will be taking part in a tournament against George Jenkins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Sickles, they will take on Liberty County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
