Softball Recap: Chandler Prep Drops Highest Score of Season Against Trivium Prep

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chandler Prep). They blew past the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights 29-4 on Wednesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 24, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Lucy Garner was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Chandler Prep got a massive performance out of Kate W, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI W has posted since back in March of 2024. Giada Lowman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Chandler Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trivium Prep only posted a batting average of .154.

Chandler Prep's record now sits at 4-2. As for Trivium Prep, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Chandler Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-12 defeat against Parker on the 20th. As for Trivium Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-4 loss against Scottsdale Christian Academy on the 21st.
