Recap: Pasco Pirates vs. Land O' Lakes Gators
If the Pasco Pirates were riding high off their 64-36 takedown of the Hernando Christian Academy Lions on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pasco was outmatched by Land O' Lakes on the road and fell 59-26. Pasco was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.
Pasco's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zion DeJesus, who scored 6 points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Williams, who scored 4 points along with 3 blocks.
Land O' Lakes can attribute much of their success to Nash Patapoff, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Mathan, who scored 9 points.
Pasco's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Land O' Lakes, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pasco won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tavares at 7:30 p.m. on November 29th. As for Land O' Lakes, they will head out on the road to face off against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
