Volleyball Recap: Nuview Bridge Takes a Loss

Nuview Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Jacinto Valley Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamea Lucero, who had seven digs and three aces. Lucero has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Izabella Flores, who had 17 digs and three aces.

Nuview Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

Nuview Bridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Desert Christian Academy on the 2nd. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School on the 2nd.
