Recap: Richland Colts vs. Sisseton Redmen

The Richland Colts were the 63-55 winner over the Sisseton Redmen when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Richland lost to Sisseton at home by a decisive 60-42 margin on Thursday.

Richland lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nick Mjoness, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Mjoness scored a full 26.2% of Richland's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Nick Wulfekuhle, who scored eight points along with three steals.

Richland now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Sisseton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Sisseton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Waubay/Summit at 6:15 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
