North Thurston piles up the points against Timberline

Recap: North Thurston Rams vs. Timberline Blazers

The North Thurston Rams stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 67-38 win over Timberline. The victory was just business as usual for North Thurston, who after nine games remain undefeated this season.

It was another big night for Soraya Ogaldez, who dropped a triple-double on 30 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Alexis Meyer was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.

Timberline lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shayla Cordis, who scored ten points along with five steals. Cordis is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sierra Cordis, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Timberline struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

North Thurston's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Timberline, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-1.

North Thurston will take on Central Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Central Kitsap will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 305th, while North Thurston is ranked 18th). As for Timberline, they will head out on the road to face off against River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
