It's playoff time, and Dakota had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Utica Chieftains 6-3. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Chieftains two weeks ago, they had to take a 26-17 loss.

Nikkos Davis threw for 105 yards on seven of 15 attempts. Mason Dragich was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards.

Dakota's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Utica, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Coming up, Dakota is taking a road trip to face off against Romeo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Utica does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
