Mountain View faced Campo Verde in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Toros took a 16-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coyotes. The Toros' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Mountain View still got an impressive performance from TIERAH METCALF, who threw for 197 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to EMMA FISCHBECK.

Mountain View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut FISCHBECK.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Campo Verde, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Mountain View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 56-6 victory against Dobson on the 27th. As for Campo Verde, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Millennium on the 25th.
