Softball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Arrowhead's Winning Streak

Arrowhead dropped their record down to 10-2 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Kettle Moraine Lasers by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warhawks have suffered against the Lasers since May 28, 2019.

As for Kettle Moraine, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games.

For Kettle Moraine's part, Briella Hack spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on 13 hits.

At the plate, Sarah Marcheske was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run and five RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alesandra Hernandez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
