New Diana proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hughes Springs Mustangs 3-1. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.
Remi Rountree spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
