Volleyball Game Preview: Corona del Sol Aztecs vs. Desert Vista Thunder

The Corona del Sol Aztecs will head out on the road to challenge the Desert Vista Thunder at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Desert Vista took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Corona del Sol, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Corona del Sol got the win against Liberty by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Aztecs.

While Corona del Sol won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Desert Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Brophy College Prep.

Corona del Sol's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Desert Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-17.

Corona del Sol came out on top in a nail-biter against Desert Vista when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Aztecs repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
