Recap: Hunter Wolverines vs. Hillcrest Huskies
There's no place like home for the Hunter Wolverines, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Monday. They took down Hillcrest 48-30 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hunter also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Leading Hunter to victory were Kalysa Ng and Grace Gallagher. Ng scored 8 points along with 10 steals and 6 assists, while Gallagher dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. DaKota F Peyton was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Hunter now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hillcrest, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Hunter and Corner Canyon will face off at 5:15 p.m. on December 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Corner Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for Hillcrest, they will head out on the road to face off against Juan Diego Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Juan Diego Catholic is ranked 15th, while Hillcrest is ranked 23rd).
