Softball Recap: Glenville-Emmons Drops Season-High Score on Schaeffer Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glenville-Emmons). They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Schaeffer Academy Lions on Tuesday. The Wolverines not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 14, 2024 (when they won 23-11).

Maizee Flattum spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

On the hitting side, Lilah Reindal was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Libby Bell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Glenville-Emmons always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Glenville-Emmons and bumps their season record up to 2-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Schaeffer Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Glenville-Emmons will be playing in front of their home fans against Houston at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Schaeffer Academy has already played their next game (against Alden-Conger), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
