Appalachian's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Gaston Bulldogs 5-4. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Appalachian's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Gaston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-1 record this season.

Appalachian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-4 draw against Plainview on the 5th. As for Gaston, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 defeat against Valley Head on the 5th.
